C & M Events, LLC. or as you know us Skip & Cheryl would like to thank your team and members who will be participating in the Lake Havasu Music Brews and BBQ Championship. We hope to continue to be Arizona’s Biggest and Best State BBQ Championship, and hopefully all of the West. This is just to let you know that Skip & Cheryl are continuing the tradition of a State BBQ Championship in Lake Havasu City, AZ. and this event will continue with the same attention to the event and teams as always.
Proceeds from Lake Havasu Music, Brews and BBQ Championship will benefit:
- Cooking 4 Kids & Hunger
- Local Community Youth Programs
- Local Food Kitchens
Barbecue Competition
This competition will be a typical four (4) main meat competition, which will include Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork Shoulder or Butt & Brisket. Along with these categories we will also have these (4) four additional Side Categories of Chili, Sauces, Anything Butt, & Cooked Desserts (desserts must be cooked on the barbecue).
Two (3) separate People’s Choice Contests will be conducted, one on Thursday which won’t be for awards, just fun. Then Friday with Chili the star, & one on Saturday with BBQ taking front stage. Friday & Saturday’s contest have their own Prize Fund & Awards. Scheduled times for both days are as follows, Friday 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. & Saturday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. This year we have many people willing to help, so should you need volunteers please let us know early.
We hope that you will in the tradition of many other barbeque events across the Western U.S. come join us for a good old fashion “Wine & Cheese Party” Friday Afternoon (time & space tba).

- Two Separate Days of "Peoples Choice" Championships
- All Grand Champions Return FREE the Following Year

If you arrive on Thursday for Early Bird Loading we will begin loading teams starting at 9 a.m. and continue until 5:30 p.m., during check in you will receive your team goodie bags and team ID’s. Thursday Evening, we have again arranged a Pre Party for the Teams and Judges that can make it to town early.
The party is at McKee’s Pub & Grill and starts at 5:30 p.m., they are located on McCulloch Blvd. at the corner of Pima. We will have a shuttle service both to the party, and then back to the event site. More info on this will be in your team packets. Please RSVP if you are coming to the party so we have enough food for everyone.
